“Nick Mayhugh overcame a physical limitation to play for Radford Men’s Soccer and the Men’s U.S. Paralympic National Team.”
That is the message Nick has pinned to his Twitter profile. It’s a tweet that was sent out by the official NCAA account in October 2017. And in 2019, Nick represented the United States at the IFCPF World Cup.

How did Nick go from playing college soccer to playing for the Men’s paralympic national team? It’s a fascinating and frustrating story.
In this episode, we discuss:
After I stopped recording, we spent another 30-minutes talking about the U.S. PNT and how people just don’t know that it exists. Or what it is. It’s the program which provides opportunities for players who have Cerebral Palsy or are Stroke survivors or had a TBI to play competitive soccer. So, at the very least, I hope this episode with Nick is received with open arms and coaches from around the country understand that players have options even when they think they don’t.
