Dr. Naomi is practicing OB/GYNA who has been a women’s health advocate for years and is as passionate about eduction as she is providing excellent medical care. As we enter 2022 the issues surrounding abortion rights, access and legality in the United States seem to be shifting and accelerating. From Texas’ new law restricting abortions to six weeks, Missouris 15 week ban is currently before the Supreme Court and many other States seem poised to follow suit. We decided it would be good for us to speak to someone who actually works in this ‘space’ to help us understand the complexity of how all these changes have, can and will effect women’s health. Sometimes we need to get past simple Pro Life/Pro Choice political rhetoric and wade into the details of what our policies practically mean in the real world. Spoiler alert: It’s complicated.
