Nearby lay the body of Joseph “Joe” Ryan, 39, fatally shot. The Banfields’ live‑in au pair, Juliana Peres Magalhães, reported the scene via a cryptic 911 call: “A friend of hers was hurt.” Christine later died at the hospital.
