In many natural disasters, we often lose electricity, occasionally for extended time. This creates a challenge in preparing food. We must have alternatives for preparing food.

In this episode, we explore many options for cooking without electricity, and some creative ways to bake, fry, and slow cook.

We must stress that USING A GRILL INSIDE IS DANGEROUS AND CAN KILL!

 A propane cook stove inside can be safely used for short periods in well ventilated areas.

Here are some of the options we discuss for alternative cooking methods when the power is off.

Using a crock pot insert for slow cookIng

Roasting
Smoking

Turkey fryers are for more than frying turkeys

Camp fires
With foil  &  Disposable pans

Open fires
Fireplaces
