Ashley Hutchings was the founder of several British bands that electrified traditional folk music. He first founded Fairport Convention with Simon Nicol and stayed with them for 4 albums. He then formed Steeleye Span and stayed on for a few years. He followed with The Etchingham Steam Band, various Albion Bands and several solo projects.
