It's been a devastating month for the games industry; Unprecedanted amounts of layoffs in such a short period of time, multiple anticipated titles cancelled and some of the most tone deaf consolations from various people in power have understandably left a lot of us feeling empty. But in spite of the bleakness surrounding the games industry, Metroid, a series that historically doesn't sell amazingly well is still getting releases (including a certain one later this year!). Today, Doominal Crossing is joined by special guest Joey Ferris as they discuss the recent Microsoft layoffs, the state of the games industry and why Metroid is able to stay relevant in a climate that should theoretically be hostile to it.
