For this week’s Minors Talk we were thrilled to have Boston Red Sox prospect and right-handed starting pitcher Hunter Dobbins back on the Pesky Report. Dobbins talked to us about his season to date, the hectic last few weeks following his promotion from Greenville to Portland, and the differences between levels of the minor leagues. We asked Dobbins about the process of getting drafted, how he became a full-time pitcher after going to Texas Tech, pitching in the College World Series, why he introduced a splitter into his arsenal for 2023, the melting pot of MiLB clubhouses, and what he likes to do away from the ballpark.
