The weekend crew is back to recap a lackluster series for the Boston Red Sox, who dropped two of three to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
However, Payton Tolle dazzled in his big-league debut, and Lucas Giolito gutted his way through six innings of one-run ball in the finale. Unfortunately, everything in between Tolle and Giolito was atrocious.
Jarren Duran hit his first inside-the-park home run of his career on Sunday, catapulting the Red Sox in front, where they stayed until the final out.
The team also extended All-Star closer Aroldis Chapman through at least the 2026 season, while also releasing veteran right-hander Walker Buehler.
