It was 3 weeks before Christmas, 1998, when Robert Engebretson, his dad Bob, and his 8-year-old son Derrick headed out to the Winema National Forest to look for a tree. But this family tradition soon turned to tragedy when Derrick Engebretson disappeared without a trace.
