Luke Tomlinson (Impropod Podcast) and Ash Farkas join Flixwatcher to review Ash’s choice Pig.
Pig (2021) is a drama about a ex-chef and his beloved foraging pig. Written and directed by Michael (A Quiet Place: Day One) Sarnoski it stars Nic Cage as Robin ‘Rob’ Feld the reclusive truffle-forager and Alex Wolff as Amir, an inexperienced buyer and seller for luxury restaurant ingredients.
One night Rob is attacked and beaten, at the same time his pig is stolen. Rob enlists the help of Amir to track down his pig and help him gain information he needs.
Pig is a revenge film but not the type you might expect. Anyone expecting a John Wick/Taken approach will probably be disappointed. It is meditative look at life and food and the choices we make.
Recommendability scores were pretty solid. With a runtime of 92 minutes it also scored well for repeat and engagement to give an overall score of 3.90.
