In this episode, Don't Believe Everything You Hear, we look at the section of the Sermon on the Mount where Jesus takes the teachings of the Pharisees and says, “You have heard it said,” or in other words “this is what the Pharisees have taught  you” and He follows each one of these statements up with a “but I say …” The Pharisees thought they were keeping the Law well enough to merit salvation, but Jesus is going to show the true meaning of the Law -  by explaining how all-encompassing they were meant to be. Jesus tells them these things with authority - because He is the Law giver!
