Daniel Halseth had been going through a rough couple of years, but in 2021, things seemed to be getting better. His kids had returned to Nevada, where he lived, from Alaska, where they had moved to with their mother. He had a great relationship with his youngest child, 16-year-old Sierra, but things started to get strained between them when she met and started to date 18-year-old Aaron Guerrero. In April 2021, when Daniel's mom couldn't get a hold of him, she knew something was wrong, and she was unfortunately right. Daniel's body was found inside his home deceased.
