Listen Later

Welcome to another exciting episode of the Mind Sensei podcast, where we explore the journeys of martial arts legends and dive deep into the philosophies that drive their success.

I’m your host, **Peter Tas**, and today, we have a truly special guest joining us—**Mr. Trevor Sherman** all the way from Los Angeles USA.

This episode is part one of an incredible two-part conversation with a man whose journey through martial arts, psychology, and personal development is nothing short of extraordinary.  Raised on a small farm in Southeastern Idaho, Mr Sherman  learned the values of hard work and commitment from an early age. His dedication extended beyond the fields and into athletics, where he excelled in football and baseball.

At just sixteen, he took his first martial arts class—an experience that ignited a lifelong passion.  His academic journey led him to **Utah State University**, where he earned a **bachelor’s degree in psychology. His deep understanding of behavioral psychology, combined with his passion for martial arts, shaped his approach to teaching and mentoring. A fluent Spanish speaker from his mission work in Mexico and Southern California, he carries a unique perspective on communication and discipline.

But what truly sets Mr Sherman  apart is his **unwavering commitment to shaping young lives**. He believes that martial arts is the most powerful tool to instill confidence, discipline, and life skills in children. As a dedicated instructor for over 25 years, he stands by the philosophy that “the answer to crime isn’t the electric chair, it’s the high chair.”

His influence extends beyond the dojo, leaving a lasting impact on every student he mentors.  Not to mention, Trevor was the **master student of Jeff Speakman**, and an influencer and contributor to incorporating MMA and ground fighting into the Kenpo System. His experience and insights are not only valuable but truly inspiring.

So, **sit back, relax, and join me in welcoming our guest on this captivating episode of The Mind Sensei Podcast.** 🎧🔥
