This week on Tide Chasers Podcast, we host Captain Joe Diorio (@joe.diorio.guide.service) or as we like to call him Captain BABOOM! Joe is first and foremost a family man, but when he is not with the family, he is fishing non-stop! Joe starts by telling us about his booming guide service and throws in an anecdote of how his obsession with albies got him fired from one of his previous jobs. His bread and butter is monster blues and striped bass in the Connecticut river and Block Island. He is one of the few guides that puts 50-pounders consistently on the boat for his clients. Joe also uniquely runs one of the only catch and release guide services for striped bass – kudos to him for preserving the striper community! 

Sprinkle in his love for albies, tuna and his special, maybe cheating (…only kidding Joe), trout fishing and guiding on the Farmington River, this is an episode chalked full of info from fresh to salt. We got so caught up in Joe’s charisma, confidence, and fishing advice, that we lost track of time and our filters this episode (one of our longest episodes yet and it is certainly rated adult)!
