Nikko Jenkins had a very troubled childhood that, most likely, set up the trajectory of the rest of his life. He went from dropping out of school before being a teenager to being in and out of foster homes to spending most of his young adult life incarcerated. Through all those events, Nikko never got the mental health he needed, which would be the catalyst for the events that took place over a period of 10 days in August 2013 after he had been from a ten-and-a-half-year prison sentence.
