The film Trainspotting is 30 years old, and was enormously popular here in Iceland. It tells the story of a group of friends in Edinburgh who are deeply immersed in heroin use.

RÚV's Dagný Hulda Erlendsdóttir spoke with Kevin Williamson. He was the first to publish Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting, initially as short stories in his cultural magazine Rebel Inc.
