While in Alaska this summer working for Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Heal Our Patriots, I had the opportunity to sit down and interview my dad, Franklin Graham. We talked about Alaska and how our family started going there more than two decades ago, sharing the Gospel even when it might be difficult, the ministries of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse, and always having a fearless faith. You’ll hear about times dad refused to compromise for the sake of fitting in with cultural norms and his reflections on his parents—my grandparents—Billy and Ruth Graham. One thing that really stood out to me is a challenge to not be critical of those who might not have the courage to stand strong when faced with opposition; because we will all face persecution at some time. Jesus said, “you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you” (John 15:19). My hope is that our conversation will encourage you to look at how you too can be bold for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how God can use anyone in all walks of life for His glory.
