This episode explores how the ego becomes wounded.
The ego — the human identity — is the structure through which the soul’s localised awareness experiences life. It provides continuity, self-reference, and the ability to navigate the physical world as a distinct individual.
As the ego develops and interacts with the environment, it encounters polarity — pleasure and pain, safety and threat, acceptance and rejection. These experiences are lived personally, through the body, emotions, and relationships. It is through these encounters that the ego can become wounded. Ego wounds are not failures of consciousness. They are natural outcomes of living in a polarised world.
