The Thursday Night Wars are over as WCW raises the white flag and shifts Thunder over to Wednesdays permanently. This first installment of Wednesday Night Thunder is the go-home show to Souled Out and it sure was... a 2 hour block of television. Terry Funk has formed The Old Age Outlaws with Arn Anderson, Larry Zbyszko, and Paul Orndorff to help take out the NWO. Bret Hart reveals he had an epiphany and t-shirt politics are back on WCW TV. Medusa faces Oklahoma in an Evening Gown Match. Thunder sees it's first "on a pole" match when a champagne bottle is up-for-grabs in a match between Chris "Champagne" Kanyon and Bam Bam Bigalow. Mean Gene Okerland is even more of a creep. And we see a title change on the cusp of Souled Out. Someone get Orndorff some soup!
