When we think about factors that impact our health, typically we focus on things like nutrition, how much physical activity we get, our sleep habits or our relationship with our doctor. But research is showing that other factors - referred to as social determinants of health, can actually impact up to 80% of employees health outcomes! To learn more about this, Bridgette spoke with two experts from OhioHealth, Ernest Perry, the Senior Advisor of Diversity & Inclusion, and Autumn Glover, the Senior Director of Community Health Partnerships. Together they discussed how employers can use data to take the first step in learning which determinants are most strongly impacting their population – as well as interventions that you can build into your benefits and wellness strategy to start making an impact.
