A genealogy tree in a network-marketing business visualizes all their distributors in a structure, by starting with the company or top admin at the top, then the sponsor distributors, then their downlines who are also distributors, and so on. The genealogy tree shows for each sponsor or distributor who recruited them, their sales, commissions, rank, package purchased and how their team is placed. It offers a view of the direct sales organization’s progress and helps distributors strategize where to place new recruits for better earnings. Different compensation plans generate different tree shapes such as binary, matrix, unilevel, breakaway or hybrid.
