Over the weekend there was a small skirmish that encapsulated a much larger ideological fight raging within the Republican Party.

That battle took place during an interview between Fox News host Maria Bartiromo and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) over the pending federal government shutdown and congressional efforts to achieve a continuing resolution in Washington. And it served to highlight two very different approaches that somehow coexist within the party.

On one side we have the GOP establishment and their willing and complicit budgetary capitulation to the Democratic National Committee. On the other side is a small group of brave congressmen and congresswomen who are finally willing to say "enough is enough" to out-of-control spending by the political elite in our nation's capital.

And they appear to be fully willing to allow a federal government shutdown rather than give in to the establishment, to which we say BRAVO. Keep the pressure up.
