In this episode, I sit down again with Dr. Claudia Mejia, a licensed psychologist to dissect episode 2 of the Netflix Selena series from a psychological perspective. We discuss psychological and cultural factors such as representation, Latinx parenting and parenting in general, anxiety and anxiety based disorders, he impact of coping, and the importance of validation.
P.S., I apologize in advance as there are a couple of minutes where there is feedback/background noise in the episode. The day was gloomy and rainy and I decided to record from home (won't do that again; but I'm learning !)...there was an unexpected landscape company, my fur baby, and a super loud car that passed by (lol). Nevertheless, the content was worth keeping and the noise was brief. Hope you enjoy!
