Today's episode was way more than I expected. Our guest is Deb Ayres of the Avalon Foundation. Avalon is Deb's daughter who was born with a rare condition called HPP. Fast forward to last week, Avalon has the same life expectancy as the rest of us and was given quite an honor from the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
First, why does that school bus stop so much, such a let down, yet again from the Rockets, and Party in the Park is about to return.
Ironic and not at all a coincidence that I posted this earlier this morning...
If you're familiar with Sam's tragic story, I'm sure you wish you weren't, and that you wish nothing so awful had ever happened. Oddly, there may be no better person for something so sad to have happened to someone. Sam is truly heroic and without a doubt taken the loss of her son and saved an innumerable amount lives of others.
Buckle up.
What is cosmic baseball? Is this some Elon Musk Mars MLB mania!? No, but maybe. I do know, thanks to a visit from the Mud Hens and Walleye's Jordan Strack, these tickets WILL sell out for their August appearance here.
After that, when if at all will the Lions lose in January or February. And what's next for the Lions.
Shannon and Mallory from Sunshine Communities return to refresh your memory on what they do and who they serve, as well as Shannon sharing the honor that was bestowed upon her yesterday, and their ask for upcoming day within the holidays.
A Social Dark Ages so to speak. Before we hit that and my last last last election wrap up, after a week of digesting and reflecting...

The few times I've lost my job my severance was just a couple months. The Stellantis workers losing their jobs are getting MUCH more than that or anything I ever got.
Then, let the car parties pop off but more safely. This can be a win for all.

Ugh, right? Not the outcome we wanted, BUT lots of positive news locally! I'll take more Wade!
First, another aging thing, I finally found it, grading myself for being able to avoid all the chaos yesterday, then why it may not be so bad. And one thing we have to absolutely ensure DOES NOT HAPPEN.
It's been...too long since my best friend Alex Thomas has been able to record with us. She's back to invite you to a fundraiser for her place, Neighborhood Properties, at Maumee Bay Brewing, something we're calling Q Karaoke.
Once she shared her role in creating the Wellness Center for NPI. We'll go back over that but also, what NPI does.
Then some election stuff, which is still relevant even today!
Like recent guest Mac Driscoll, Brittany too was appointed to an open seat on council. Unlike Mac, Brittany is unopposed on the ballot and voting that wraps up Tuesday.
We're (unfortunately) by no means a hub of deep intellect in NWO, but Dr. Jones is about as close to a polymath as we likely have here. From a love of writing to a PhD of...well, not writing! I'll let her explain because her educational background is even over my wannabe-intellectual mind.
She's following, if not a legend, a missed pillar in our community. But she has the DNA to step right in for Coach Cullop at Savage and beyond. Along with new Lady Rockets Coach Ginny Boggess is freshman Evalyse Cole. Why not one of the more veteran staples of the team like Sammi or Nan? Because of Evalyse's uncle!
