Recently, I read a story about how the tailgate of a work truck stirred up controversy in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. The article is from The Connecticut Sentinel and it revolves around "outrage" from the first selectman and some others, over the words, images and message the bumper stickers represent. I read the article and give my colorful commentary. Enjoy.

Around 9pm on May 21st, 2025, two Israeli staffers were gunned down while they were exiting an event in Washington, DC. The attacker then tried to enter the event, but thankfully, security prevented more bloodshed. I discuss this story and more.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Although I do not ordinarily care about "month" celebrating, mental health is important, more people struggle with it today than ever before and it is something that has affected me in my life. Although I did not mention it in this episode, it was because of watching Episode 4 of the Netflix Series "Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox", where the Red Sox player, Jarren Duran, discussed his own struggle with mental health and even his failed suicide attempt, that motivated me to tell my story. If you are struggling with dark thoughts, please reach out for help. You are not weak, you just need a teammate. And always remember, you are worth it. I hope this episode helps you to realize that you are not alone.

Breaking News overnight out of Bethany, Connecticut, has my blood boiling. Paula Cofrancesco, a first selectman for Bethany, CT, is accused in a 229 page independent report, of having knowledge of sexual abuse allegations of a town Park and Recreations employee, Anthony Mastrangelo, and did nothing. She is accused of not investigating the allegations and not removing Mastrangelo from his position, a position in which his role involved interaction with children. I read an article and get into it. A link to the article is below. Enjoy.

On May 7th, 2025, a Virginia man shot an killed a teenager in what is being called an internet prank gone wrong. Three teens were apparently going around recording themselves doing "ding dong ditch" pranks, when one homeowner opened fire on them, wounding one and killing another. I read the news article and give my opinion on the whole tragic event. Enjoy.
