Today, 9/4/24, a shooting occurred at a Georgia High School. My heart goes out to all of those effected. 

Per the usual, the same anti-gun people have crawled out of the woodwork saying the same things they always say. However, again, per the usual, no one is willing to have a real discussion as to why these things happen and how to help prevent such senseless acts of violence. I fire up the mic and let my thoughts flow. I hope you enjoy.

The other day, as I was driving home from work, I was listening to a radio show and they were playing sound bites from a Tim Walz speech, as he complained about corporations not paying "their fair share". This got me wondering, what does he, and others, mean when they say "fair share"? I let this statement rattle around in my head for a bit and fired up the mic to express my thoughts. Over the years, A.I. has become more prevalent in our lives, from algorithms to video games to search engines. Recently, Grok, an A.I. on X, has been updated to version 2.0, and the images it generates are scary realistic. I talk about the cool things that A.I. can do and some of the serious concerns I have in regards to A.I. generated deepfake images, audio and video and what it could mean in the world of politics here in the U.S. and abroad. Connecticut residents have been shocked by how high their electric bills have gotten since the recent, state approved increase, which went into effect July 1st. Now, as of today, 8/14/24, the Connecticut legislature has approved, unanimously, an 80 million dollar bill to improve the electric grid and charging stations for electric vehicles! To say I am amped up would be an understatement.
