Raymond and Anthony discuss the recent male mental health crisis which has seen suicide rates among men triple those of non-males. Raymond discusses the relationship between contemporary masculinity and the weaponization of masculinity by influencers to advance their misogynist worldview. They also discuss the binding hold contemporary gender roles impose on people, how the expectations placed upon men have led to the said mental health crisis, and how a school of thought believed to be the enemy--feminism--is actually the antidote. Finally, they try to discuss solutions to these problems, and try to instill a kind of hope in the listener.
*the term right-wing was used sloppily in the episode. there is nothing inherently wrong with right-wing ideas, the issue is that oftentimes right-wing ideas are used to perpetuate problematic statements. we apologize for that.
