ESB Expects Majority Of Clare Power Restorations To Be Completed By This Evening

ESB says it expects the majority of electricity outages, caused by Storm Amy, in Clare to be restored before tonight.
As a status yellow warning for wind expires, at present there are 640 homes, farms and business remain without power across the county, down from 5,500 at the height of the storm.
The east of the county was worst affected, with over half of the remaining outages seen in Tulla, Bodyke, O'Callaghan's Mills, Scariff, Whitegate and Ogonnelloe.
ESB Clare Area Manager, Alan Hogan, says they're expecting all major outages to be rectified today, however, some small pockets will remain without power overnight.
