Can you imagine a world without technology? No internet, no television, no music, no iPhone to scroll through social media. Not only that, but imagine a world without electricity, cars, indoor plumbing, make up, and having to adhere to a strict dress code everyday. This is what life is like for the Amish. In this episode, we spoke with Lizzie Ens, who grew up in the Amish community and left in the middle of the night without looking back. Lizzie describes her experience growing up in the strictest Amish community, what dating is like when you are Amish, and how she snuck out and escaped this world, along with how she adjusted to modern society and became a successful nutrition coach and hormone specialist.
