Essential Astrocast

This week the planetary energy moves from mostly fire + air to mostly water + earth. After pushing energy outward and screaming at the top of our lungs, we dial it back, lick our wounds, and process our feelings. You can’t run at level 10 forever, sometimes you have to pull back, reset, and prepare for the battle ahead. Stay tuned at the end of the episode for more on the Pluto Return of the USA.

Emotions run high this week. The New Moon in Cancer occurs on Tuesday and it comes with a square to Jupiter, amplifying the emotional vulnerability inherent to any Cancer moon. Stay tuned for the second half of the episode when I update you on the Pluto Return of the USA.

With 4 planets in their home signs answering to no one, you’ve got all the tools you need to move forward and shake off the heavy burdens of eclipse season and Mercury retrograde. This Full Moon reminds you each year what is true. The symbol of Sagittarius is the archer pointing his arrow upward to the highest truth. If you’re honest with yourself and with others this week, things will move forward quickly.

Mars goes home to Aries and Venus goes home to Taurus. At the close of the week, Mars will be amplified by his meeting with Jupiter. Use the energy wisely and avoid any hotheads in your life. If you need to break through some walls of self-doubt or inertia this transit could give you the confidence and motivation to “just do it”.

Eclipse hangover anyone? The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio last Sunday was an intense excavation of your emotional state. Scorpio can be secretive and private. The energy of the Scorpion doesn’t show all its cards, so we might be unpacking this one for a while.

Jupiter enters Aries for the first time since 2011! I mentioned in April that you’re preparing to embark upon a heroine’s journey… Well, it’s finally arrived. Sort of. You see, we’re still in the eye of the storm, aka eclipse season.

On the heels of the Solar Eclipse, Venus enters Aries, and she’s coming in hot! This is not her favorite sign, as Aries is the sign of the warrior, not the lover. You can expect tempers to flare and passions to fly as Venus in Aries can be impulsive or aggressive.

Every 6 months we get to go on a magical, mystical ride courtesy of the eclipses. They come in pairs (sometimes triples), and always are a force for change. Sometimes the change is an internal shift, an aha moment. Sometimes the change is an obvious life event.

Jupiter and Neptune join together in Pisces for their every 13-year meet-up, but this is the first time since 1856 they are meeting in the sign of Pisces. This transit inspires you to dream bigger, feel deeper, and surrender even more. Easter weekend brings a potent Full Moon in Libra opposite the Sun in Aries, creating a T-Square with Pluto in Capricorn. Whenever Pluto is involved we’re invited to shed an old skin.
