The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex declined 311 points or 0.51% to settle at 60,691. The broader NSE Nifty dropped 100 points or 0.56% to end at 17,845.

Nifty 50 ended below the psychologically important 18000 mark at 17944.20 points, with 0.5% losses. The 30-stock Sensex ended 0.5% down at 61002.57 points.

The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex rose 44 points or 0.07% to settle at 61,319. The broader NSE Nifty surged 20 points or 0.11% to end at 18,036.

Meanwhile, the market capitalisation of all listed companies on the BSE increased by Rs 1.30 lakh crore to Rs 267.30 lakh crore.

Tracking gains in global equities, the 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex surged 600 points or 0.99% to settle at 61,032. The broader NSE Nifty dropped 159 points or 0.89% to end at 17,930.

The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex declined 251 points or 0.41% to settle at 60,432. The broader NSE Nifty dropped 93 points or 0.52% to end at 17,763.

Nifty IT is up around 8% in the last one month when the Nifty is down around 0.3%.

Sector-wise, Nifty Metal fell 1.82% and Nifty IT declined 0.39%. However, Nifty Auto and Nifty PSU Bank closed higher. In the broader market, Nifty Midcap50 increased 0.15% and Smallcap50 surged 0.59%.

The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex advanced 142 points or 0.23% to settle at 60,806. The broader NSE Nifty rose 22 points or 0.12% to end at 17,893.From the Sensex pack, Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints, IndusInd Bank, Infosys, and Bajaj Finance rose 1.5-2.5% each. L&T, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and Power Grid also closed in the green.

The BSE Sensex index ended 378 points or 0.63% higher at 60,664, while Nifty50 rose 150 points or 0.85% to settle at 17,871
