  • Wed. June 16th, 2021 Sermon by FadaPeterBenson: YOU SHALL REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
TODAY'S SERMON IN BRIEF. What is your motivation in doing good; seeking men's approval and applause or seeking to please God? What is the mindset and passion with which you serve God and attend to your religious/spiritual responsibilities? Do you recall that if you sow sparingly you will reap sparingly and if you sow bountifully you will reap bountifully? Do you still remember too that if you practise your piety just for men to see, you stand to gain nothing from God? Let your piety, charity, holiness and other Christian services be genuine and as private as humanly possible as well as driven by the passion and eagerness to do God's will so that your reward and blessings will be great. Don't forget as you begin your day today that "YOU SHALL REAP WHAT YOU SOW".

  • Tue. June 15th, 2021 Sermon by FadaPeterBenson: BE PERFECT AS YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT.
Is it possible to be perfect in a world as 'evil' as ours? Does it really make any sense to seek perfection in a society where apparently only the ungodly flourish? Are the ungodly truly at peace and prospering as they appear to be? Is there any hope for the righteous in our world of today? Is God still on the side of those who seek perfection for his sake? How can one be perfect today? These and similar questions would obviously make nonsense of our Christian faith and hope if we use the world as our standard of judgement and assessment. God remains the standard for all judgement of every human action and the ultimate definition of true human success. Hence Jesus tells us to "BE PERFECT AS YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER IS PERFECT"

  • Mon. June 14th, 2021 Sermon by FadaPeterBenson: NOW IS THE HOUR OF SALVATION.
In the face of increasing wickedness, injustice, oppression and other forms of evil what becomes the fate of Christianity? How does the Christian give hope to the human society when he's constantly being rubbed of hope himself? How does he bring God's salvation to a world that is overly degenerating in sin/evil? The more evil/sinful a society becomes the more urgently and necessarily God's salvation is needed there and the more imperative genuine Christian witnessing and discipleship becomes. NOW INDEED IS THE HOUR OF SALVATION!

  • Sat. June 12th, 2021 Sermon by FadaPeterBenson: CALLED TO LIVE FOR GOD.
What gives true joy and fulfilment and how can one stay immaculate and holy in a world and generation characterised by so much vices as ours? How does man find true and lasting happiness that has become so dissipating today? What am I living for as a human person and what gives meaning and value to my existence? Only in a life lived for God can we find the right answers to these and other similar questions hunting man today. This is the life of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

  • Fri. June 11th, 2021 Sermon by FadaPeterBenson: GOD'S LOVE IS ETERNAL, HIS MERCY IS INEXHAUSTIBLE.
At the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ we celebrate the full manifestation of God's unconditional and all inclusive love for humanity. It's in this love that we come to the full knowledge of God, gain the ability and strength to love God above all things and to love our fellow human beings as God would want us to. By this fact we become not only beneficiaries of the Most Sacred of Jesus Christ but also it's channel unto others.

  • Thur. June 10th, 2021 Sermon by FadaPeterBenson: BE NOT A PHARASEE.
Is there any significant difference between piety and righteousness? Who's truly a child of God? What does it mean to serve God genuinely? Only the removal of the veils of ignorance and vainglory and living in the Holy Spirit can lead us to beholding God in his glory and serving him as his true children after the lifestyle of Jesus Christ.

  • Our sufficiency is from God
The human person is obviously characterised by series of inadequacies and limitations. Is there anyone able to keep all of God's commandments without any fault and by himself worthy of and deserves God's redemption, salvation and blessings? What's is our relationship with God in Christ Jesus? Christ Jesus has fulfilled the demands of the law and since it's in him we live and move and have our being, we have been made God's adopted children and co-heirs with Jesus Christ. BY THIS FACT OUR SUFFICIENCY COMES FROM GOD.

  • Tue. June 8th, 2021 Sermon by FadaPeterBenson
In the face of the troubles and challenges characterising our world of today, the tendency to begin to ask "what is one living for?" is white understandable. It was in a situation as this that Jesus charges his disciples as he also charges us today: that we are the salt of the earth, light of the world and the hope of humanity).
