Clare is set to benefit from an active travel allocation of over 3.3 million-euro for the coming year.
The National Transport Authority has confirmed funding for thirteen projects here, along with €450,000 for staff costs at Clare County Council's Active Travel Office and €500,000 for bus stop enhancements.
The Tulla Toad Active Travel Scheme is the biggest beneficiary receiving over €1.5m, while Clonmoney, Toonagh, Lakyle, Ballycar and Caherea National Schools will all benefit from Safe Routes To School funding.
