Lukas Hurt is Czech translator, journalist and publisher. With a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Master’s degree in English Philology from Palacky University in Olomouc, Lukas has been focused for many years on cannabis issues and the various uses of this versatile plant. Currently, he is the publisher and editor-in-chief of the only Czech printed magazine about medical uses of cannabis called Konopí [Cannabis] which is sold all around the Czech Republic. He is also writing and translating for the Czech magazine Legalizace. In 2016, Lukas was the Central European correspondent for Leafly, the world’s largest cannabis-oriented website. In addition, he has authored and translated several publications and brochures on the subject during the past 10 years and supervised all translations for the world’s largest cannabis fair – Prague’s Cannafest during 2014-2018. Queralt is the current President of Union of Patients for Regulation of Cannabis in Spain (www.uniondepacientes.org), a non-profit organisation focused on assisting patients who need medical cannabis. Dr Fabian Pitter Steinmetz is a German toxicologist and he currently works at the international consultancy Delphic HSE. He is also active in different drug policy networks, such as the Schildower Kreis (Germany's largest independent expert panel on drug policy reform), LEAP Germany and the European coalition for just and effective drug policies. He is author to over 200 risk assessments, expert opinions and scientific publications. His main research interests are structure-activity relationships and regulatory toxicology. Filip Sekuloski is the president of Cannabis Institute Pelagonija, Prilep, a Macedonian NGO. 

He is an experienced business consultant and has been involved in cannabis industry issues and policy creation for the last 6 years. Filip’s motive for involvement in the sector is to create a sound economic future for the cannabis industry.

Cannabis Institute Pelagonija, Prilep was established in 2019 as a grass roots organisation, articulating the need for proper policy development for cannabis in Macedonia.

The organisation is part of the national working group on cannabis, working on new legislation for regulation of cannabis production, trade and usage.

Alexandra Carstea is a recognised advocate for medical cannabis in Romania. She has worked tirelessly to expand patient access in Romania due to her reply personal connection to the issue. Her mother, Victoria used cannabis to treat her terminal illness prior to passing away a few years ago.

Alexandra initiated a national petition that became a bill in the Romanian Parliament and has continued to honour her mother’s memory by continuing advocacy by bringing information to all relevant stakeholders.
