In this moment in time, we want to be a church that is singing a song of repentance, a song of protest, a song of justice, and a song of welcome. Ted Kim invites us to reckon with how we as individuals and the big-c Church itself have been complicit in white supremacy, and to make new choices.
This week we are including the song after the message sung by Bruce Cunningham and written by Ted Kim, as well as a corporate prayer we led earlier in the service led by Adama Diakhaté.
“The end of all things is near. How will we live? Peter tells us in 4:1-11 to live rightly ordered lives, with the will of God at the center.”
Preacher: Ted Kim
Renée Cunningham- There is purpose to our existence as followers of Jesus within the world. When we embody that purpose, God becomes visible.
Challenging circumstances do not withdraw God’s instruction to us, pause our healing, or suspend our formation.Be holy here. Be holy now.
