An unparalleled cultural crisis demands from the church a hard gaze into Scripture to provide light to the world. As in any conflict, a helpful starting point is to ask: who is in charge around here?

When you make your own righteousness the foundation for your life, Christ is an offensive Rock - yet when you submit to His righteousness, He is life giving. 

How can God morally choose who is saved, and who is destroyed in judgement? Because He created everything, says the Scripture. 

Salvation is in God's hands, from before time until eternity future. 

Christians are certainly called into a battle, but we don't engage in the hopes of gaining our freedom - God adopts us and puts us into the fight as His own children, the reward of which is an eternal inheritance with His Son Jesus Christ. So fight with joy and confidence! 

God promises freedom for your body from sin's mastery. 

What should a Christian think about sin after they are forgiven, and why?

In the first Adam we all died; in the second Adam, we live. 

When Jesus died, He redeemed every Christian in all of time, all at once. That holds tremendous assurance for you today.
