Welcome back to Through the inquisitor's lens, our new podcast series which explores the complex world of public inquiries and inquests, one question at a time.
In this two-part episode, we explore the Government’s response in February this year to the House of Lords Statutory Inquiries Committee report, which looked at how to increase public trust and confidence in public inquiries.
Catherine Henney, Legal Director, is joined by Sarah Jones and Isabelle Mitchell, both Partners in the Eversheds Sutherland Public Inquiries team. Together, they examine the three key areas addressed by the Committee - the implementation of inquiry recommendations, the persistent challenges of delay and cost, and potential approaches for improving best practice.
Part two of the discussion will follow in the next episode of Through the Inquisitor’s Lens.
