The voice over industry of 2019 is not the same voice over industry as 2012 (my first year full-time). In just that short span of time, some massive shifts have taken place and as VOpreneurs, we need to understand those shifts and adjust our mindsets accordingly.

In this episode I identify five of the most common beliefs I see in voice actors getting started in the industry (and even in talent who have been here a while). I then offer the mindset shifts I believe need to take place in talent in order to move forward.

The library is often an overlooked and even forgotten resource when it comes to building a business. The reality is, an entire education can be found in the free books you can borrow from your local library, if you're reading the right books!

I didn't go to college. I wasn't a great student in high school. Despite that, I've build a very successful voice over business and coaching business and it's been done through the pages of really great books!

We are blessed in the voice over industry to have a lot amazing conferences to choose from when it comes to working on our craft, performance, and businesses. I usually attend several each year. However, those conferences have one limitation... they're unlikely to generate a lot of work for you.
