In this episode, Phil and I find out something shocking about the crime when we are asked to attend a meeting at the Crown Prosecution Service HQ in central London. The police request Bea's school records and Bea's suffering goes on....
Trigger warnings: this podcast deals with rape, sexual assault, anxiety, depression and eating disorders.
Most mothers will never have to find out what happens when their child becomes the victim of a horrendous crime. I, Lisa Lennox, never imagined that it would happen to my family, to my 17-year-old daughter. But one benign, ordinary summer's day, it did. And so began my family's immersion in the horror unleashed by such a crime, the trauma, the fear, the on-going nightmare of dealing with a police and criminal justice system which, if not completely broken, is certainly fatally fractured and struggling to cope.
Everyone is Talking About This is the true story of an ordinary family forced to face an extraordinary circumstance. I’ve tried to be honest and forthright about my desperate struggle to help my child get justice - and, on many occasions, to see the reason to go on living.
Please be aware that this podcast mentions sexual assault, rape, eating disorders and mental health issues. There is occasional strong language and some graphic detail.

In this episode, we become the proud new owners of a kitten called Colin. And we get a piece of unexpected, but for once welcome, news from the police. Has my persistence that the police investigate the appearance of the rapist's fiancée outside our front door finally paid off?

In this episode, I find that the rain in Spain falls mainly in Majorca as I negotiate pitch dark island roads and a torrential downpour in my quest to find Bea and Olivia and bring them safely home. Ever since Bea was attacked we have lurched from one catastrophe to another but this one feels like the last straw....

In this episode, complete with a new introduction from me, Lisa Lennox, I finally achieve something on behalf of Bea and the investigation. We book a half-term holiday to get some much-needed respite and distance from the case and all goes swimmingly at first. But the joy is not to last....

In this episode, we desperately try to find information on the young woman who has come to our street, to our house, followed Iris and confronted her, clearly believing her to be Bea. When the police tell us who she is, and what they are going to do about her visit, we are left incredulous - as well as angry and despairing.

In Episode 5, the autumn term starts and Lisa has to get back to work whilst still coping with the aftermath of the attack on Beatrice. Lisa and Phil attend a meeting at the police station with the Detective Sergeant overseeing the case. Lisa hoped it would bring some welcome news about the progress of the case and the likely outcome. But instead, the DS's words leave her angry, frustrated, incredulous and filled with fear.

In Episode 2, Beatrice visits the local hospital where I find certain members of staff unsympathetic. There are mysterious calls from an unknown number on Bea's phone - lots of them - coming from a WhatsApp account with a selfie of a young man. The horrific reality that Bea's attacker has somehow got hold of her phone number shocks me to my core. Phil is enraged.
Once back at home, the morning brings a new horror. How to tell Iris, Bea's 15-year-old sister, what has happened.
