It's the penultimate episode of Everything is Content for 2024! Sadly Beth was travelling this week, so Oenone and Ruchira lead this very special extra episode. 

This week, the girls are in conversation with *the Emma Appleton*. You might know her as the lead from Dolly Alderton’s BBC adaptation of her memoir, Everything I Know About Love, but she’s now leading Paramount’s new rom-com series The Road Trip, based on the book of the same name by bestselling author Beth O’Leary.

The six part series starts with a wedding trip to Spain which takes an unexpected turn for Addie (played by Emma) and her sister Deb, when they're forced to share a campervan with Addie's ex Dylan, his friend Marcus, and a stranger Rodney.

Here at EIC headquarters we can confirm the series is a gorgeous look at relationships in your 20s, navigating life and what happens when it all goes wrong. 

The Road Trip will be available to stream on Paramount+ from 26th December 2024.

Ho-ho-how is it less than two weeks to Christmas already?!

Finally- one of the weirdest weeks online for a while. After the murder of a healthcare insurance CEO in New York, the internet is thirsting openly, unabashedly and without shame over his accused killer. Is this a symptom of the ongoing irony epidemic or are we just... missing the joke?

Beth, Ruchira and Oenone have been watching, listening and reading... as always. This week, they've all been binging the new historical drama, Say Nothing. The new nine part Disney Plus show is an adaptation of Patrick Redden Keefe’s bestselling book of the same name. The book came out in 2018, the series just dropped last week. It follows closely to the narrative of the book, which was about the Troubles, the IRA, the provisional IRA and a now notorious woman at the centre of it all, Dolours Price.

Next up, in an interview with Eva Wiseman for the Observer, actor and director Rebecca Hall says she doesn’t regret working with Woody Allen - a statement which unsurprisingly inspired many a headline. Shockingly, this wasn't the only viral moment of the piece, as Hall also detailed her unconventional wedding to husband and fellow actor Morgan Spector.

And lastly, would you want a Sexiest Woman of The Year Award? Or is the men's one already bad enough? In a piece for Grazia titled '‘Sexiest Man Alive’: Here’s Why Lusting Over Men Is Different To Lusting Over Women', the writer Nikki Peach argues that the world is not yet evolved enough for this to happen. Do you agree?
