For many, the Ineos Grenadier is a callback to the Defender of old. But can it live up to Defender's iconic history? This week, we are joined by Mercedes Lilienthal of Crankshaft Culture. An automotive journalist who has been published by Forbes, NY Times, Tread Magazine, and countless other publications, Mercedes knows her stuff when it comes to cars. She had the opportunity to drive the Ineos Grenadier on two separate occasions, and has a lot to say about its place in the market, its impressive off roading features, and its capabilities. We dive in deep to talk about her experience driving with Ineos on Isle of Skye in Scotland with the production models last month, and whether the Ineos has a shot at being a Defender/Jeep/Bronco competitor.
