WEASEL WORDS, WARRIOR WORDS

A Dubai–Tel Aviv Flydubai flight turned into a mid-air knife fight. Co-pilot stabs the captain. Plane drops like a stone. Hijack code goes out. Passengers smash into the cockpit and pin the attacker before the jet can become a crater. Heroes in coach. Israel calls it terror. The airline says: wait for the investigation. .

President Xi's already in the air. Last night was the state dinner to end all state dinners — sea bass, Reagan china, red blossoms, a bald eagle statue, and a guest list stuffed with Musk, Huang, Altman, Bezos, Cook. Toasts to "friendship." Flyovers. Marine One. The whole opera. Behind the closed door it was not opera.
