GCW BLOODSPORT - The Josh Barnette produced event has announced more participants, one of whom we're not sure their main bosses are really going to approve of their participation

GCW FOR THE CULTURE - The newest match for the showcase for wrestlers of color has been announced, and it's big for multiple reasons.

NJPW G1 CLIMAX - The tournament begins Saturday and we'll break down the matches along with discussing the B Block competitors.

JON MOXLEY- Not only is he AEW champion, he is also the IWGP United States Champion. Is he going to defend his title before or after the G1?

"Creative has nothing for you".

Those words have been spoken to many WWE talents, usually right before they have been cut. This time, it seems that someone currently in a major storyline, someone they just brought in. Ryan "Ryback" Reeves is getting ready to go to war with WWE over the rights to his name. It looks like it will only be a Viking "Raider" for an extended period due to a serious injury. here's a new NXT announcer, at least for one year. Tonight marks the debut event for one of our favorite guests. Another on of a legend has signed a major contract.

In the "make sure you know your belt maker" a promotion in Illinois is probably regretting going to an apparently cut rate belt maker as a very glaring item showed up on their brand new title. 

In addition to these things we will talk RAW and Dynamite and whatever other news might happen while we're on the air.

NXT UK - WWE's British roster plans to go REALLY old school on their next big idea.

JOSH BARNETTE'S BLOODSPORT - The "inspiration" for RAW Underground (Others call it ouright theft) which was cancelled for WrestleMania week due to COVID-19 has been rescheduled and now the second talent has been announced for the knockout or submission only event.

WARRIOR WRESTLING - The Chicago based promotion is running a two night event which may mark the return of currently one of the most controversial people in wrestling.

NJPW - Due to injury, the IWGP Jr Tag Team Title was vacated and new champions were crowned. In addition, the blocks for the G1 Tournament have been announced, and there are some surprise names among the participants.

TONY KHAN - The AEW owner talks about his talent being on third party social media sites.

GCW - Joey Janela's group, in addition to Bloodsport, is announcing lineups for other rescheduled WrestleMania week shows.

We will discuss these and other wrestling stories as time allows.

Late last week WWE Chairman Vince McMahon issued an edict regarding WWE talent using "outside" social media. Many of you may follow "Up Up Down Down", AJ Styles' gaming channel and many others. We'll talk about what may have sparked Vince's ire and the reaction from the locker room.

Then we have to talk about Marty Jannetty. We don't want to, but we have to. A few weeks ago Marty made a "confession" on Facebook that had wrestling media, including us, Well now he's "explained" about his "confession" and I think we're either just as confused and/or disgusted as we were before, if not more so.

AEW brought a big surprise last night with the addition of Miroslav Barnyashev, AKA Miro. This was in addition to Tay Conti's first official match as a full member of the AEW roster. NXT crowned a new champion and MLW has made a major announcement concerning its next TV move. Did you know there's wrestling on Apple TV? Well there is, and we have the information. We'll also talk about the tryout NWA Women's World Champion Thunder Rosa turned down 

Tonight will be very interesting and you don't want to miss it or you'll regret it.

Here's what I'm going to be talking about tonight:

JIM CORNETTE - In a strange turn of events, AEW's biggest critic DEFENDS the company he likes to make fun of. 

JORDYNNE GRACE - Don't feel sorry for the former Knockouts Champion, she has some good things going on, despite the pandemic and the title loss.

GATOH MOVE CHOCO PRO - The Japanese company owned and operated by AEW's Emi Sakura made a bold move this week.

REY MYSTERIO - The lucha legend & WWE star adds a new item to his resume

RING OF HONOR - Despite not having done anything in months the former number 3 promotion is making a move of sorts.

EDINBURGH - A popular spot closed down, it's history and connection to wrestling make its demise all the sadder.

NJPW - NJPW Strong unveils its latest episode with a face wrestling fans haven't seen in a long time.

CMLL - The "other" lucha promotion in Mexico makes its return tonight in an unusual (for them) format.

ALL OUT - I will talk about my ideas as to what will happen on the big Saturday night PPV.

All this news plus more as time allows.

It's been a strange year so far, and we still have four months left to go. Wrestlers, announcers, interviewers, all sides of the wrestling business have been affected by COVID-19. Saturday will be AEW's annual big show, ALL OUT. This year, however, rather than filling up the Sears Center in the Chicago suburbs the event will be held in a limited seating Daily's Place. WWE held SummerSlam in front of a bank of video monitors inside the Amway Center in Orlando.

Tonight we'll go over Payback, RAW after Payback, NXT and the ironman match for the vacant NXT title as well as AEW's ALL OUT go home show. We'll also talk about who has left WWE, who has added to AEW, who is reporting to WWE developmental.

We'll also use a bit of Jim Cornette talking about the late "Bullet" Bob Armstrong. It should be a good night.

For my listening audience that has never heard my story, I grew up in the days of the territories. My area was run by Verne Gagne and the AWA. It was all I really knew because it was the only wrestling on TV. I knew OF the then WWWF & NWA because of Stu Sacks and my friend Bill Apter, but to me, these were minor league organizations.

In 1980 my perspective on wrestling was changed when my family was finally able to get cable TV and one Saturday night shortly before I got home from work my Dad happened to tune to WTBS and accidentally found a little show called Georgia Championship Wrestling. One of the big heroes of the territory was a man known as "The fighting firefighter from Marietta, Georgia". He went under the name of Bob Armstrong and before long I became a fan of his. His homespun, gosh darn Southern charm along with a legitimate toughness due to his background made him relatable to the average viewer watching at home. 

Tonight I'll talk about watching Bob and his family and the good old days of territroy "rasslin".

Tonight, due to the situations concerning the NBA Playoffs, which apparently will continue after last night, we come on after AEW Dynamite. We will spend the first part of the evening talking about that.

We will talk more about the Sonya DeVille situation, including why the stipulation was changed, and it's not completely what you think, although that is a consideration. And if you think Sonya's issues have been solved since the arrest of the intruder, you'd be quite wrong. 

Mickie James returned a few weeks ago to WWE, but is her booking the result of a feud with husband Nick Aldis? That's his conclusion and we'll discuss that as well.

The "Thunderdome" might be generating more problems than it is creating a variation of the "live experience". One incident has gained notoriety, but there are other incidents that have flown under the radar of many of the wrestling media.

While NXT suffered a setback with new champion Karrion Kross having to relinqish the belt due to his in match shoulder seperation, it brought two older stars back to the forefront and the return of one of the NXT mainstays has added an excitement to next week's main event.

There's a major shakeup brewing in Japan's women's wrestling scene and if we have time we will cover that too.

We are just an hour away from the last event of a busy wrestling weekend. Yesterday was a delayed (Thank you NBA) AEW Dynamite along with NXT TakeOver XXX. We will go over the results along with our highlights and lowlights.

AEW, despite the delay presented a huge show with several surprises, including a title change and a familiar face to ERN listeners suddenly made an appearance. NXT, as always, produced a quality product and carried off a big main event that, after news that we have learned about the match, makes it look even bigger.

Finally, we will look at SummerSlam itself. There are six title matches and two grudge matches, with the nature of one of the grudge matches possibly being shaped by real life events. We'll look at them and make our predictions. Get ready for the BETTER pre show.
