This week my dear friend and photographer Priscilla Marquez joined me in the studio. She is a bad ass mama with a thriving photography business @shotbypriss. We talk about what it's been like being stay at home moms and still choosing to pursue our passions. We dive into what mom life is like, where we see our businesses in the next couple years and what keeps us motivated. 

This week I got to meet Jenny Patton in real life! She's a regular in my Magical Mujer Morning room on Clubhouse and I couldn't wait to get her in the studio and record a convo because she drops so many gems! Jenny is a Multi-Passionate Creator, coach and entrepreneur. We talked about the power of our words and how to reframe the limiting beliefs that no longer serve us. Goddess Lore also joined us in the studio and made such an awesome addition to our chat.

Goddess Lore is the Host of Sexual Freakquency and the co- host of Ladies Night Radio Show on The Good News Radio Network. We talked about her healing journey as she was navigating the end of her almost 20 year relationship. We also talked about her glow up and how she learned how to love being by herself. We also talked about noticing the red flags during her marriage and how to spot red flags in her new venture of dating. We we're also blessed with High Priestess, Daniel from the Plot twist podcast and Mysterious Jacks the host of Ladies Night Radio Show to join our convo.

I'm excited to be diving into navigating my Mexican and Filipino cultures and how being mixed has had its challenges. I'm super proud of being Chicana Pinay but I've always needed validation outside of my family and myself to feel enough of both my cultures. Through my recent healing I've found a whole community on social media of mixed people and talking about things that I have felt all my life that was exclusively my experience. But it is unanimous across the board that most mixed people feel that they are not enough. So I committed to sharing my experience to help others as others have helped me with their stories.

It was only fitting to talk about being divinely guided and divinely protected. So much has come from being on my healing journey. I have done so much inner work and to shed light from my point of view is important so that others don't feel so alone. 

Setting boundaries in relationships is just what bad bitches do. Nicolette goes over how setting boundaries is essential in laying the foundation to a relationship not just with someone else but with yourself. Through her own journey with fuck boys she learned what were her non negotiable boundaries were and realized what is important to maintain respect in a relationship. She highlights her own relationship with her husband and how giving each other grace has helped their relationship thrive throughout the years.

Nicolette tells the story of how she realized her self worth after kissing many toads and the path to marrying her king. After a couple run ins with fuck boys, Nicolette fell into a huge dark hole of insecurities and low self esteem. With the help of her best friends & cousins she was able to turn the proverbial light on and realize her self worth and self love. The journey of self healing is a commitment to make to yourself every day and hopefully this episode plants this seed to do the same for yourself.  

Nicolette reflects on the past 10 years of being a mom as her oldest son turns 10. Celebrating her baby's 10th birthday is such a bittersweet celebration as time doesn't slow down for anyone. She navigates through the mommy guilt and shame of feeling a disconnection while parenting her son as he evolves and grows as a human being. She honors her journey by acknowledging the good and the bad while healing & parenting, along with identifying her challenges with mental health and postpartum depression. 

Nicolette has a major life update and life change....her youngest baby boy us starting school! She shares about what sending her baby to school during a pandemic is like. This week she also continues the Body Love series and discusses about being restarting your New Years resolutions, if you fell off already and being kind to yourself during this pandemic. Weight loss should never be a priority at the expense of your mental health. Be mindful of how you approach your fitness goals and do it with kindness. Never as a punishment for what the number on the scale says. 

Nicolette ended 2020 with Covid 19 and not all that interested in the holidays. But as Christmas rolled in she was just happy to be better and with family. After ending 2020 like that what else could possibly go right in 2021? Nicolette is ready for all of it and she hopes you are too.
