Affected? The Reddit/r/asheville subreddit has a ton of daily list about where you can get supples, food and water, both for fee or available to buy. A lot of places are Cash only so If you find some one that can take card or Venmo, do that and save your cash.
Fema is Doing emergency payments for people who need money to pay to evacuate, get hotels and supplies and stuff. You can apply at https://www.disasterassistance.gov/
The application will also ask about Personal property damage. You can get help with repairs too.
Did you get laid off or your job wash away? You can get Disaster Unemployment benefits, https://www.des.nc.gov
APPLY IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE, this is what you pay taxes for. You deserve it as much as anyone else.
