As we look at what is happening in the world around us, we might say the birth pangs are upon us; attacks on the family, on sexual identity, Israel in greater danger, etc. We are living in perilous times similar to the Christians of 2000 years ago. Yet, Paul encourages young Timothy to respond confidently to the challenges he faced. First, Paul said, "Follow me as I follow Christ." Secondly, he said to take in the scriptures and surround yourself with people you can emulate. In this passage, Pastor Lloyd examines seven particular qualities for the difficult times we face.
