Exciting and New

Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Connor back on the podcast to discuss what they were up to this week.  House is coming this Friday.

Jason, Andy and Dana will discuss a 1986 movie weekly, breaking down all the nonsense there within. The 3 hosts all work together and everyone else around them was getting really annoyed at all the movie talk, so they decided to annoy the world in podcast form.

Check out previous seasons to hear them discuss 1982, 1983, 1984 & 1985 movies, as well as a full season of Love Boat episodes (if that is your thing). Plus one-off specials and a weekly mini "what are we watching" podcast.

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Shamus back on the show as they discuss the 1985 horror film Fright Night.  In this one, Herman (from Herman's Head.  Remember that one?) and Marcy D'arcy work with Cornelius the Ape as they try to thwart Vampire Humperdinck from killing more area hookers.  This one also stars Evil Ed, who's career went in a somewhat different direction, but only Jason recognized him for his work in that (Google Sam Ritter, but make sure you turn your browser histroy off).  Enjoy the podcast.

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana discuss the 1985 horror movie Silver Bullet.  Halloween marches on with this one, based on a Stephen King book.  It stars a less than mobile Corey Haim and an entirely too mobile Gary Busey as they battle a local werewolf, who causes a ruckus in town with every full moon.  If I was a betting man (which I am) I am not taking a drunken Busey and a wheelchair bound Haim.  You'll have to watch the movie and listen to the podcast to find out what happens.  Enjoy the podcast.

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason and Andy welcome Logan back on the show to discuss the 1985 comedy Once Bitten.  We have mention Jim Carrey a hundred times in the past for parts he almost got, and now he finally has a lead role in this modern vampire movie.    There are enough jokes here to make most of us enjoy this one enough.  We miss Dana's usual grounded opinion this week, but she'll hopefully be back soon.  Enjoy the podcast.

Get better soon Tara!

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Mike back on the show to discuss the 1985 horror movie Day of the Dead.  Halloween contnues on.  This Dawn of the Dead sequel, by horror icon George Romero, stars a nothing cast, and has all of Romero's social commentary in it, and also features some early Walking Dead talent.  This one isn't as good as some of the previous Dead movies, but we had a great time discussing it.  Enjoy the podcast.

This week on the Exciting & New podcast, Jason, Andy and Dana welcome Becky & Scott back on the show to discuss the 1985 slasher flick, Friday the 13th, Part V:  A New Beginning.  We dip our toes back into the waters of Crystal Lake (although this might not take place anywhere near Crystal Lake) as we discuss the New Beginning of the Friday franchise.  The body count is insane in this one, as they introduce tons of people just to kill them in the same scene.  The weather of course is rainy (it doesn't rain this much in Jersey) and the mystery of who the killer is keeps us gripped to the screen until the very end.  If you don't want to be spoiled, don't look at the title of Part VI.  Enjoy the podcast!
