Excuse My Winter Blues: We're starting off the new month with a bit of a controversial subject. Instead of giving my top 5 tips about how to cope with loneliness during Christmas Season, I want to be really honest by reflecting on how we as a society have labeled Christmas Season - especially on Social Media. With that pressure, it's easy to focus on superficial things instead of finding out what your true meaning of Christmas is. It rather can be an opportunity to heal and practice openness.
In this episode, Gloria talks about what people should NOT say or do to someone who has anxiety. By reflecting on her own and others' experienced scenarios she draws attention to what's most important if you want to help to deal with anxiety. While searching for top tips for anxiety she focuses on 3 senses: Smelling, seeing, and listening. Further, techniques as Box Breathing are explained and performed. This episode's purpose is to speak upon another taboo topic & we hope you can come out of it with a few new learned takeaways.
6 years into the journey, Cat Dean shares insight into her Anxiety overload. OCD - better known as Obsessive-Compulsive disorder, is the taboo topic of this episode. The trio dives into deep topics like trauma causing anxiety, and conditions as body dysmorphia resulting from it. The conversation takes a turn when we reflect if we can transfer from being the victim to being obsessed and addicted to the opinions of others on social media or even substance abuse.
Further, we speak about a major taboo topic - the SINGLE-USE MENTALITY we experience in our home countries.
Do you find yourself fearing a particular activity? Or maybe you often cancel plans because you dread it too much? Well, hopefully, today will give you that little bit of insight into why you feel like this and what it is that you're feeling. We're no experts on the qualification front, but we sure as hell have a degree in our own lives and know all about our own anxiety.
Where do we go from here? After spending months in lockdown or with restrictions it's time to get back on your feet - or at least go back to normal with Covid-19. But what is the new normal? In this episode, the Trio takes a more broad perspective on society during these times. Focusing on re-entering work life and not falling back into old habits. In addition, we want to raise awareness on sustainability, not just for the environment but also for YOUR mental health.
