As we’ve vowed to do throughout this quarantine, it’s all about us all having some fun and getting through this together. So we’re interviewing some expert guests, we’re reviewing movies we’ve always wanted to cover, we’re keeping you up to date on everything streaming for us at home in our Quarantine Collection, we’re spreading out our James Bond Character Study, and we are trying out new formats, like we did in this episode, with our first Fantasy Casting Show of the Tiger King Movie, “Exotic” (trademark Mike1).

Now the internet has done a nice job giving us options for this challenge, and we do cite a bunch of fun possibilities for the Tiger King cast of characters. But we also wanted to dive into the pool of Oscar contending talent that we celebrate the long year round. So one of us tries to cast an Academy Award contending satire / dramedy, while the other Mike is all over the straight up goofy spoof comedy.

We make a few declarations and agree on castings like assistant zookeeper John Reinke and henchman Allen Glover. Otherwise, we’re making our cases and debating who could handle the voices, costumes, and overall weirdness of this larger than life, stranger than fiction type of story. Who are we casting for Joe Exotic? Carole Baskin? Jeff Lowe? Who should write the script? Who should direct the film? And how will the ensemble work together and survive all the tigers?!
