In this "How-to" and "Identity" episode, we will dive into the Holy Spirit's mind manifestation gift of discernment.  Jesus explains what this gift is and is not, so we understand why it's so important in this generation.   How does this gift allow you to see past natural realities into the future of God's will?   And how does knowing that change how you pray with and minister to others?  Dr. Patty shares some biblical and personal stories of how this gift looks when released. How can you practically grow in your sensitivity to the spirit so you can increase your discernment?   What is social proof and how can it be used as a scheme of the enemy if you are not grounded in the Truth?  In order to increase your sensitivity to the Spirit, Dr. Patty shares a quick self-assessment tool that will diagnose the quieting issues that block you from sensing God.    Jesus addresses your quieting issues in your experience with Him and will give you practical tips for increasing your sensitivity to His communications with you.

In this "How-To" episode, we will address the commands of God to ask, seek and knock from Matthew 7:7-8.  Why does God want this from us? What are the benefits when we obey them, and what is lost when we don't? Dr. Patty breaks down the biblical definitions of the key words in this verse to show the deeper meaning that the Lord has in them.  What kinds of things does God want us to ask for?  What does it mean to seek God with all your heart?  What does knocking mean from an action standpoint?  Jesus shares how these commands are a prayer formula for the lifestyle of abiding and how this verse leads to a life of constant signs, wonders, and miracles.  What would it look like if your life was a prayer to the Lord with continual asking, seeking, and Knocking?  Jesus shows you in your Experience Jesus encounter.

In this special "how-to" episode and with his permission, we will peek in on a conversation that George Strawbridge had with Jesus.   This detailed conversation will show you how Jesus wants each of us to encounter Him.  Dr. Patty adds some commentary along the way.

I think you will appreciate the questions George is asking here as they may be questions that you wonder about too, but never thought you could ask Jesus about them.  Jesus answered some practical questions like: How can I experience you? and  How did you live a sinless life?  What curiosities do you have about God?  Jesus will answer your specific questions in your Experience Jesus encounter time.

George Strawbridge is a member of our Online Spirit Life Workshops and learned how to have these conversations the same way that I did through the work of Dr. Mark Virkler at Communion with God Ministries using the dialogue journaling tool that we use on this podcast to connect with Jesus.

Encountering the DIRECTION  of God: Experience Jesus Book 3

And please make sure you share this podcast and share how you were blessed by this episode by commenting below!  THANKS!

In this "identity" episode, Dr. Patty dives into what it looks like to reflect true Biblical Christianity as compared to the counterfeit worldviews of the Pharisees of the Bible or the modern-day self-righteous religious spirit and the New Age belief system.   She is referencing what she learned from the book  Am I Being Deceived?  by Drs. Mark and Patti Virkler.  No one counterfeits anything that is not real or valuable.  True Biblical Christianity combines the Word of God with the Holy Spirit with His interpretation and power.  the New Age belief system is Lie number one which espouses the belief in the spiritual realm apart from God as its source and leader.  So it is spirit without the Bible as a guide.  This lie opens participants to dark spiritual forces that can damage the soul and keep them from eternal life.

Pharisaicalism or the self-righteous religious spirit believes in the Word of God apart from the Holy Spirit.  This worldview as people begin with their own minds to understand the Bible,  with an emphasis on the rules of the Bible, being known more for what they are against than what they are for.  Leaving out the Holy Spirit and His nature and character causes them to reflect an unloving, distant, and punishing God.  Dr. Patty summarizes an interesting Barna Research study on the worldview of American Christians that reveals the costs of believing and living according to the counterfeits.  Jesus shares His heart on this subject and leads you on a path to discover His will for you in the Experience Jesus encounter time.
